About Us

Motocross has always been a part of my life, and I’m incredibly grateful for the journey that began when my father introduced me to the sport. From the very first ride, I was hooked—there was something about the adrenaline that instantly captured my heart. As I grew, so did my passion for motocross, and I was fortunate enough to travel across Europe and around the world, racing with my brother Dexter by my side. Those years were some of the best of my life, and they instilled in me a love for the sport that continues to fuel everything I do today.

After a series of unfortunate injuries, including a snapped femur, I found myself searching for a new way to stay connected to the sport I loved. That’s when I discovered my passion for design and print. I decided to launch Ferus Custom House, a brand that would allow me to combine my creativity with my love for motocross. With nothing but a questionable taste in music and a great group of friends, we filmed our first promo video before I’d even designed a kit or secured any funding. Determined to make it work, I dug into some research, joined the Princes Trust program, developed a business plan, and successfully secured funding for my first venture. This marked the beginning of my journey.

I quickly realized that the small grant and loan I received from Essex County Council would barely cover the material for the kits, let alone the machinery or wages for pattern makers and seamstresses. So, I had to pivot—and pivot hard. I focused on securing more funds by offering design services, logos, websites—anything I could do to keep the wheels turning. Then, I got an unexpected opportunity through an outside investor to start a graphics company. It wasn’t exactly what I had planned, but it turned out to be one of the most valuable learning experiences of my life. The biggest lesson? As a young man with a whole world of responsibility, new to business and still figuring out life in my early 20s, I almost made it a point to ensure I made every mistake possible. The next few years were challenging, filled with failures, but each one brought me closer to understanding what it really takes to succeed.

Although it was a step away from motocross, this chapter of my journey turned out to be an incredible opportunity. After facing my fair share of failures, it was time for something different. Leaning back into my design skills and a newfound love for filming—something I had picked up while creating promo videos for my business—I found myself stepping into the world of TV and film. What started as a curiosity turned into a life-changing experience.

Over the next five years, I had the privilege of working as part of the stunt team on some of the biggest blockbuster movies released. It was an adventure like no other, filled with action, creativity, and a whole new level of challenges. More than anything, this experience taught me the importance of communication, being accountable, and dedicating yourself fully to a craft, on a day to day basis I was working with the very best. You can see this in the showreel accompanied to this text. And beyond the work, it was also here that I met my best friend—proof that even life’s diversions can lead to something truly special.

This may be an "About Us" page, but up until now, it’s probably felt a lot like an "About Me" page. That’s because every journey has a beginning—but now, it’s time to introduce the person who makes this all possible.

Meet Aoife, my best friend, partner, and the other founder of True Custom House. They say behind every great man is a great woman, and in this case, it couldn't be more true. Aoife is an incredibly talented, highly organized, and all-around amazing person. We met while working in TV and film, quickly became friends, and, well… one thing led to another, and now we run this business together!

But in all seriousness, Aoife is the one who keeps the train on the tracks. While I bring the creative energy, she ensures everything runs smoothly, making sure True Custom House operates at its best. And to top it off, she’s becoming a huge fan of motocross—so it’s safe to say she’s well and truly part of the ride.
